Can You Etch It – Ink Stamp

Welcome to Can You Etch It, the web’s first laser engraving series that specializes in laser engraving strange, unique, and even common items.  Today I have decided to create something useful, so I will be engraving a custom ink stamp.

Ink stamps were once a common sight in businesses.  Although computers have taken most of the tasks once relegated to stamps, they are still used by some businesses to mark paper documents as paid, received, and signed.

Ink stamps can be seen in a variety of crafts including scrap booking, card making, and other artistic pursuits.  The market for scrap booking may have declined in the past years but there are still plenty of people involved in that hobby.

Why ink stamps?

Small details are important in life and business.  Custom ink stamps offer a variety of ways to add those small, important details.  A stamp can add that personal touch to physical correspondence with your customer.  You can use them on business cards for added visual appeal and on product literature.  The only limitation is your imagination.  Besides that, custom ink stamps are just cool.

Here is a video of the stamp being created by the laser.
