We are taught from a young age that it is undesirable to fail. We get anxious when tested and sometimes, people cheat just so they won’t fail. That mindset is reinforced everywhere we look from the CEOs of big businesses to the television we watch to the news we consume. We hate to fail.
But… what if we didn’t? What if we accepted just a little failure in our lives? Think about it; if you never try, you never fail so it follows that if you do try, you will fail at least some of the time. Imagine how your life would be different if you gave yourself permission to do something and fail.
Consider what you could learn if you only admitted to yourself that not only are you not perfect, but no matter what you do, you will never be perfect. Perfection can’t be the goal; we will never get there.
Failure in life is inevitable. Get use to it or not, but it won’t go away.
Unless you are doing nothing… and what’s the point of that?
