Laser Last Week – 4-1-12

Welcome to Laser Last Week where we explore some of the new information being published around the web dealing with laser engraving and assorted services.  The focus is on the unique and remarkable, not the mass produced commodity.  The pickings were slim this week with only 4 links that were interesting enough to make the list, the the ones that did make it were very interesting. If you have found any that I have missed, please let me know in the comments.  Enjoy.

Laser Last Week Links

  • 4-6-12 – Dice tower – Swords & Dorkery – For those who play Dungeons and Dragons or other dice based games, here is a laser cut and engraved dice tower.  I am not familiar with dice towers, but they appear to be places where you can roll the dice and not hit any of the figures.  The paint job on the tower looks great.  Be sure to click on the link to see what the kit looked like unboxed
  • 4-5-12 – Divine Nine Cameos // Secret Project Revealed – AdaLou – An amazing example of creative laser design.  Sandi created designs inspired by nine bloggers that she looked up to.  The results are amazing.  You really have to take a look. She even offers custom designed cameos.  Amazing
  • 4-3-12 – Exotic wood iPhone backs feature custom laser etchings – Cool Hunting – Great looking exotic wood replacement backs for your iPhone with laser engraving.  For those who want to personalize their iPhone but want the option to back to a factory setup
  • 4-1-12 – How to make a custom laser etched wine bottle – Instructables – An interesting article taking you through the steps of designing and engraving a wind bottle.
